Holding Hands

"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall"

Confucious

My experience working with complex trauma, PTSD and survivors of childhood and domestic abuse has covered areas including:

·       guilt

·       shame

·       trust

·       anxiety

·       low self-esteem

·       depression

·       grief and loss

·       divorce

·       self-harm

·       anger

Therapy is not only for those who have experienced trauma but is useful at all times of our life. Working with issues that we have, however small they may appear, is important.

For young people struggling with anxiety, bullying, bereavement/loss, exam stress or overwhelming feelings, knowing someone is there to talk to without fear of judgement and in confidentiality, can be all the help they require. Sometimes more guidance may be needed, but when this is carried out in a safe and supportive environment, we can see real positive change occur.

Time to make a plan

It is important that you find a counsellor that meets your needs. As an integrative and person-centred counsellor, we will work together to explore the thoughts, influences and life experiences that have led to our current behaviours and beliefs.

Services include

Counselling- 50-minute  session that allows you the space and time to explore fully your concerns in a safe and confidential environment.

Rewind - is a treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), focusing on individual traumas. The rewind technique is a comfortable and effective treatment that can greatly reduce, and even remove, traumatic or phobic symptoms quickly through relaxation and guided imagery, all without even having to talk about the details of the traumatic incident(s) in question. This is a two-session treatment.
